My Passion

I pride myself on having compassion and patience for my clients while aggressively representing them in court. I am able to do this through my experience as an attorney.

There is nothing more fulfilling than representing clients in their time of need. I started Fairway Law Group to guide people through the court system at their most vulnerable time. The court system in Florida can seem like Mount Everest to non-attorneys. The good news is I consider it my second home and can guide you through it.

Professional Experience

In my early years as an attorney I practiced insurance defense representing the largest insurance companies in the nation. I was in court constantly. I aggressively defended personal injury cases. However, I knew that representing large companies was not for me. I took that experience and began work as a personal injury attorney.

From personal injury work, I discovered a new passion: representing individuals. Like many attorneys, over my carrier I practiced “friends and family law.” If you don’t know, that’s what attorneys use to refer to the questions we get at the dinner table from our friends and family. Many of these questions are family law related regarding a divorce or child custody issue.

Ultimately I started handling family law cases, including divorces, child custody, and paternity cases. This is when I discovered my passion as an attorney. The passion for these cases coupled with the experience in the courtroom is what I offer for my clients.

You may not be surprised to learn that insurance companies aggressively represent themselves in court. They do not make money by paying claims. I gained extensive litigation experience representing insurance companies and learned how to aggressively litigate in the Florida Court system.

Why I want to Be Your Attorney

When you hire Fairway Law Group, I will aggressively represent you in your case and do my best to get the best outcome for you. But it is important to realize that many times family law cases do not require aggressive motion practice or fighting over every issue. It is often about problem solving and finding solutions to a disagreement between the parties. I will work with you as a client and explain potential outcomes, benefits, risks, and costs associated with how you want to proceed with your case.

Problem-solving is one of the most challenging and rewarding parts of our jobs as attorneys, and it is something I look forward to helping you with.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is clients want a straight-shooter, not someone who is going to make unrealistic promises or guarantees of an outcome that will never happen. When I speak with clients, I “take off” my attorney hat and explain things as practicably and real as I can without using legalese and lawyer-lingo.

Personal Life

In my spare time I am an avid golfer and spend time with my family, including my three year-old son. Having a toddler and sharing in the joys of parenthood has provided me with the experience of parenting that many of my clients go through, and allows me to understand what my clients are going through.
